Why Emily Exists

Dr. Craig Crippen, MD, had been performing cosmetic treatments since 2003, and by the mid-2010s his practice ran on a stack of disconnected tools: one system for charting, another for scheduling and payments, a separate workflow for before-and-after photography, and a third-party platform for marketing and patient recall. Every visit meant entering the same patient three or four times.

Nothing on the market solved it. General-purpose EHRs weren’t designed for injectables, devices, or dose tracking. Booking platforms didn’t understand clinical documentation. Marketing tools didn’t know what a treatment plan was.
